Welcome to Tony's Tours — a collection of photographs taken along the way, from mountain trails to quiet coastal paths.

I'm Tony, and this site is where I share images from my holidays, hill walks, and mountain bike rides across some of the most beautiful landscapes I've been lucky enough to explore. Whether it's the golden light on a ridge at dawn, a valley opening up after a long climb, or the stillness of a lake before the day gets going, these photos are my way of capturing the moments that make getting outdoors worthwhile.
There's no filter or agenda here beyond a love of scenery and the outdoors — just a growing archive of places worth seeing, shot as honestly as I can from wherever my boots or bike happen to take me.

I started my love for hiking and the great outdoors as a fourteen year old lost soul in the mid seventies. I think it was an escape from my early childhood problems. I started out on North Yorkshire Moors, a short couple of train journey's from Billingham on a Saturday or Sunday morning. In the hills I felt free and happy and safe. I loved navigation and spent as much time "heather bashing" with a compass as I did following the not so distinct paths in those days. 

Why "Tony's Tours"? Well over the years I have organised many walks, MTB days out and holidays for others. Over the last few years it has been noted that while out folk seemed to gravitate towards me to ask for information and which way to go as if I had an "ask me" flag flying over my head.
